Anchorage Digital Powers Cross-Chain Stablecoins with LayerZero
Anchorage Digital has partnered with LayerZero to route bank-issued stablecoins across over 170 blockchains, leveraging the Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard.
The partnership will enable institutional issuers to move dollar tokens between different blockchains where banks and institutions operate, with Tether's USAT being the first Anchorage-issued stablecoin to launch with LayerZero interoperability.
The OFT standard has processed approximately $280 billion in lifetime transfers, or about 87% of cross-chain volume, allowing issuers to maintain a unified token supply across chains and keep control of their token contracts.
Anchorage Digital Bank's platform already supports tokens tied to Tether, Western Union, OSL Group, and Falcon Finance, with the integration building on the same cross-chain machinery that carries dollar liquidity such as USDT0's expansion to Stellar.
