Anchorage Digital Powers First Live Cross-Chain Stablecoin with LayerZero
Anchorage Digital has integrated LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard into its regulated stablecoin issuance, launching Tether's USAT as the first live cross-chain stablecoin. This marks a notable crypto interoperability milestone.
The move connects across 170+ networks to reduce stablecoin fragmentation, improve liquidity and DeFi cross-chain usability. Anchorage says additional tokens including USDPT and USDGO are expected to follow.
Tether's USAT is the first stablecoin on the platform to use the LayerZero standard. LayerZero's infrastructure supports more than 170 blockchain networks, giving Anchorage a broad technical base for moving regulated dollar tokens across different execution environments.
