Andrew Tate Transfers $1.87M HYPE Amid Market Volatility
Andrew Tate, a well-known figure, made a significant move in the cryptocurrency market by transferring 20,950 HYPE tokens worth approximately $1.87 million to Binance on October 3. This transaction came as the Hyperliquid (HYPE) token price slipped below $88 during the latest market session.
The transfer was recorded by Lookonchain, which linked it to Tate's tracked wallet. The wallet's total HYPE profit is estimated at $7.24 million, representing a reported return of 1,317% based on its transaction history and valuations.
Hyperliquid's buybacks continue to create systematic demand for HYPE. The protocol's documentation states that protocol fees flow toward community mechanisms, including its Assistance Fund, which automatically converts eligible trading-fee proceeds into HYPE through Layer-1 execution.
The fund's HYPE accumulation gets burned permanently, removing purchased tokens from circulating and total supply. Additionally, the protocol's reserve-yield mechanism adds another source of potential buyback funding, with 14.58 million USDC awaiting transfer toward the Assistance Fund as of October 3.
