Ansem Predicts Bitcoin-Gold Valuation Gap Will Close
Ansem argues that the valuation gap between Bitcoin (BTC) and gold should narrow as Bitcoin gains broader acceptance as digital hard money. Bitcoin’s market value stands at about $1.7 trillion, significantly lower than gold’s $30 trillion. Ansem highlights that a closer valuation would strengthen the case for governments to hold Bitcoin on their balance sheets, similar to how they hold gold.
Looking back, Ansem notes that Bitcoin failed to set a new high against gold in the previous market cycle. He suggests that the current cycle should not be directly compared to past cycles like 2020, 2023, or 2024. Instead, he sees parallels with the expansion of DeFi in 2020 and 2021, which brought billions into on-chain markets.
Stablecoins are playing a key role in opening new markets, with tokenized stocks gaining attention. These developments are attracting retail users, institutions, and developers. Ansem believes these new market verticals could drive significant capital flows, product innovation, and speculative activity.
