Anthropic Seeks Fast-Track Entry into Major Index-Led ETFs
Anthropic, an AI lab behind the Claude project, is set to go public in October. This move could see it join three exchange-traded funds (ETFs) due to new fast-track inclusion rules. The major index providers have adopted accelerated IPO inclusion frameworks that allow quicker inclusion for qualifying large IPOs.
As a result, Anthropic could rapidly become part of ETFs tracking indices like the Nasdaq-100 and CRSP/Russell, which have such accelerated inclusion protocols. Currently, several U.S.-listed ETFs already hold Anthropic indirectly, and more could join after its public debut.
The market's response to Anthropic's potential ETF inclusion and IPO is evident in the pricing of its market cap predictions. The probabilities for Anthropic's market cap exceeding certain levels appear to reflect optimism regarding its valuation, suggesting strong institutional interest.
