APEI Expands Nursing Education Network with Hondros Integration

American Public Education (APEI) has expanded its nursing education network after incorporating Hondros College of Nursing into its system. The combination gives Hondros students access to a wider range of academic programs, including bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in nursing.

Hondros will continue to operate under the Higher Learning Commission accreditation as an Academic Unit within American Public University System. The institution has provided nursing education for over two decades through its structured approach focused on career progression.

The integration creates additional pathways for Hondros students to advance their education after completing initial nursing qualifications. Students can now access more opportunities to pursue higher degrees in nursing across institutions operating within the broader system, including American Public University and Rasmussen University.

American Public Education serves approximately 109,000 students and has over 250,000 alumni worldwide. Its institutions provide programs focused on career development, public service, healthcare, and other professional fields.
