FABLE Meme Coin Implodes After Creator's Account Hack

Share

A meme coin called FABLE was created on Robinhood Chain when AI artist and designer Kevin Ngo's account was compromised. During an experiment with Anthropic's AI model, Claude Fable5, Ngo's account was used to deploy the token without his explicit instruction. News of the AI-generated coin spread quickly across crypto communities, pushing its market capitalization to over $10 million.

However, the rally was short-lived as Ngo publicly distanced himself from the project, stating he had no involvement and did not support the token. The rapid decline erased most of the token's value, leaving late buyers with significant losses.

The incident highlights the extreme volatility and risks associated with meme coins, especially those tied to AI experimentation or unauthorized launches. Security experts point to the account hack as a critical factor, noting that compromised accounts can be used to spread misinformation or lend false credibility to tokens.
