Aptos Breaks Out, But Can It Hold Above $1?
Aptos, an up-and-coming cryptocurrency, has seen significant gains in recent days. Over the past seven days, APT has surged by over 55%, while its bridged TVL (Total Value Locked) has more than tripled from $550 million to approximately $1.89 billion in just two weeks.
This increase in network activity is accompanied by a rise in transactions and trading volume. According to DefiLlama, the number of daily transactions has averaged between 10 million and 15 million, while daily token volume has risen from around $42.76 million to above $150 million over the past week.
The growth in Aptos' network activity is partly attributed to capital being bridged from other chains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. Stablecoin holders on Aptos have also increased, with over 1.50 million holders, of which approximately 1 million hold USDT and the rest hold USDC.
Aptos' price has broken out of a broadening wedge pattern that had been in place since June. With a clear path to $1, where the next supply zone is located, bulls are targeting this level as their next goal. However, there are signs of a potential correction, with the Stochastic RSI indicating an overbought market and its signal lines crossing over, suggesting a possible reversal.
