Aptos Expands Reach in Thailand with Bitkub Partnership

Aptos, a blockchain platform, has expanded its reach in Thailand through a strategic partnership with Bitkub, a major exchange in the region. As of September 30, 2026, Bitkub users can now deposit and withdraw the USDT stablecoin directly on the Aptos network. This move aims to enhance the user experience by providing faster and cheaper transactions, with fees as low as $0.0005 per transfer.

The integration of Aptos-native USDT on Bitkub is a significant development, considering the exchange's large user base of over 5 million registered users. Users can now send USDT on and off the platform through Aptos instead of other networks, making it easier to move stablecoins between wallets or exchanges.

The Aptos Foundation partnered with Bitkub Academy in July 2024 to strengthen blockchain and Web3 education across Thailand and Southeast Asia. This collaboration has led to the expansion of Aptos-native USDT support on several regional exchanges, including Taiwan's MAX exchange, which rolled out the feature at the same time as Bitkub.
