Aramco Profit Soars 44% Amid Ongoing Iran Conflict
Saudi Aramco's quarterly profit surged by 44% to $32.69 billion, largely driven by crude prices that increased due to supply disruptions in Iran. The company's adjusted net income for the first six months of 2026 reached $67.2 billion, exceeding analysts' expectations. Higher prices for both crude oil and chemical products contributed to the increase in profits.
The company announced a 3.5% year-on-year increase to its base dividend for Q2 2026, with payments scheduled for August 27. The elevated oil prices are likely to influence central bank policy, potentially weakening the case for rate cuts and impacting assets such as Bitcoin.
The higher profits may also give Saudi Arabia more leverage in its diversification strategy, which includes investments in technology, gaming, and digital infrastructure through its sovereign wealth fund.
