ARB Surges 31% as Tokenized Funds Approach $1B
Arbitrum's token ARB surged 31% in price on Friday, pushing it closer to the $0.2300 level as interest in tokenized real-world assets continued to grow.
The rally marks the fourth consecutive session of gains for ARB, with its weekly gain now above 70%. This uptrend coincides with a new US regulatory framework for trading tokenized stocks and record tokenized-fund value on the Arbitrum network.
The exemption granted by the SEC allows qualifying tokenized securities venues to facilitate trading in tokenized National Market System stocks using automated market makers and permissioned liquidity pools.
While the exemption was not directly awarded to Arbitrum, the Ethereum Layer-2 network could benefit if regulated platforms choose it as infrastructure for tokenized securities. Arbitrum's features of lower transaction costs and faster processing than Ethereum's main network have positioned it as a potential settlement layer for real-world assets.
