Arbitrum Launches ArbOS Elara with Protocol-Level Compliance Filtering

The Arbitrum platform has announced the launch of ArbOS Elara, an upgrade to its network that introduces protocol-level compliance filtering for dedicated blockchains.

This feature allows chain operators to set custom policies and conditions for transactions, enabling them to filter out transactions that do not meet these criteria. The policy can be applied to both inbound and outbound transactions, providing greater control over the flow of data on the blockchain.

The upgrade also includes customizable priority fee support, allowing chain operators to charge users a higher fee for certain transactions. Additionally, the platform has added alternative data API support, enabling developers to access more information about the blockchain and its users.

In related news, Arbitrum One has seen improvements in base fee tuning, with the introduction of a new mechanism that allows the base fee to be adjusted more quickly in response to changes in network usage. Finally, the Stylus contract capacity has been increased from 24KB to 96KB, allowing developers to build larger-scale applications using the platform's Rust-based smart contracts.
