Arbitrum Surges 45% on Robinhood Partnership

Arbitrum (CRYPTO: ARB) has seen its price surge by 45% in the last week, fueled by Robinhood Markets' (NASDAQ: HOOD) adoption of its blockchain technology. The partnership's impact is already evident, with Robinhood's new network generating significant revenue for Arbitrum.

On September 3, Robinhood Chain took in $4.3 million in fees, compared to Arbitrum's own network collecting $365,060 in gross fees during all of August. This disparity highlights the substantial benefits Arbitrum stands to gain from its licensing agreement with Robinhood.

The agreement stipulates that chains built on Arbitrum's technology must pay 10% of their net chain profit back to the network, with 8% going towards governance and 2% allocated for developer incentives. This revenue stream is expected to continue generating income for Arbitrum in the years to come.

Despite its potential, some investors may view Arbitrum's lack of holder-friendly policies as a drawback. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, ARB does not offer buybacks or dividend payments that directly benefit token holders.
