Arbitrum Surges 4.86% Amid Market Squeeze and RWA Adoption
Arbitrum's (ARB) price surged by 4.86% in just four hours, outperforming the broader market. The rally is attributed to a combination of factors, including a short-squeeze rally and a bullish technical setup for ARB.
The market-wide squeeze saw Bitcoin and Ethereum experience sharp rallies, with significant short squeezes liquidating $1.7-1.9 billion worth of leveraged positions in BTC. The rotation from AI stocks into crypto also contributed to the rally, with BTC hitting above $68,000 and ETH rising by 9%.
ARB's own price tape shows it rising from $0.075 to about $0.083, with reported 24-hour volume climbing from $29-36 million to over $71 million. This pattern aligns with the expectations of a market-wide squeeze.
The technical and positioning backdrop for ARB also made it a natural beneficiary when sentiment improved. Traders were already watching a compression pattern and falling wedge, which indicated a potential breakout target near $0.1221 (about 55% above the then-current zone).
