Arbitrum Unveils $115K Buildathon for Novel Financial Applications
Arbitrum has launched its three-week online Buildathon program, offering $115,000 in prizes and grants to early-stage teams. The competition aims to support novel financial applications on Arbitrum, with a guaranteed podium spot for at least one Robinhood Chain project.
The Buildathon, which kicked off on September 14, is the first phase of Open House Singapore. The program will conclude on October 4, and winners will secure a seat at Founder House in Singapore from October 23-25. The latter event comes with its own $300,000 pool.
Arbitrum has partnered with Robinhood Chain to fund the Buildathon, providing a total of $415,000 in USDC. The funding is divided into three categories: the top three teams will share a $70,000 pool; the Promising Products track offers $15,000 across its top three; and an additional $30,000 in grants is available for winning teams.
The Buildathon focuses on financial applications, with AI agents and novel financial primitives being specific areas of interest. The program includes workshops covering product development, go-to-market strategy, user experience, agentic commerce, wallet infrastructure, and emerging market opportunities.
