Arbitrum Volume Surges with Stylus Implementation and Robinhood Chain Success
Arbitrum's volume has surged following the implementation of Stylus, a WebAssembly-based proving environment that adds computational power to the existing Nitro stack.
Stylus was released in August 2026 for Arbitrum One and Arbitrum Nova, allowing users to deploy programs written in Rust, C, or C++ alongside Solidity contracts.
The dual-VM design enables multi-language contracts to interact with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, overcoming the limitations of Solidity on high-compute applications.
Stylus offers significant performance improvements: execution speed is 10x faster than Solidity, and memory efficiency is 100 to 500 times greater.
The Arbitrum Expansion Program has also contributed to the network's growth. Robinhood Chain went live on the mainnet in July 2026, processing over 200 million transactions during its public testnet phase and reaching daily DEX trading volumes of $1.5 billion in early September.
