Arbitrum's Token Price Dips 12% Amid Sophisticated Attack Crackdown
Arbitrum's token price has dropped by 12% in the past week following an emergency action by the network's Security Council. The Council halted new Stylus contract activations on Arbitrum One and Nova due to increasingly sophisticated attacks. However, the Foundation stated that no vulnerability that could steal user funds has been found, and existing Stylus contracts remain live.
The Arbitrum Foundation reported that its monthly revenue has surged fivefold, with licensing fees accounting for 87% of the total at $4.75 million. Transaction fees contributed $507,000, and treasury income added $181,000. The network has processed 1.5 billion new transactions so far this year.
The price of ARB has been up over 47% in the past month but down over 53% in the last 12 months. Despite broader market strength, with Bitcoin's price climbing past $85,000, ARB's price was down over 0.6% over the past 24 hours.
