Arc Blockchain Launch Sparks Frenzy Among Retail Investors
The Arc blockchain, built directly by Circle, is set to launch its mainnet on September 16. The platform has been generating interest among retail investors, who are positioning themselves in advance of the launch. Current data shows that user enthusiasm for pre-positioning in Circle's Arc chain ecosystem continues to heat up, with the premium for related USDC exchange once reaching 1.8 times.
The battle for token issuance rights among on-chain retail investors is a key factor driving interest in the platform. Institutions are responsible for building the settlement and compliance framework, while Degens (a colloquial term for retail investors) are competing for the 'right to collect fees' on this platform.
On Arc, launchpads are emerging as popular destinations for users. These platforms allow creators to issue tokens directly onto the blockchain, often with their own unique rules and fee structures. We have identified three models of launchpad currently in use: Lock Pool Upon Token Issuance (Tolly and ArcPad), Bonding Curve Graduation Faction (Warp and Flipt), and Social Bot Faction (Achemist).
Lock Pool Upon Token Issuance is the most direct approach, where tokens are issued directly into a permanently locked USDC liquidity pool. Tolly has shown strong trading data in the pre-deployment environment, with a cumulative trading volume of approximately $1.8 million and a market cap high of about $2.47 million for its platform token $TOLLY.
Bonding Curve Graduation Faction is the classic Pump.fun path, where tokens first trade on an internal bonding curve before graduating to a DEX. Warp has completed a full graduation process, using a USDC-denominated bonding curve and automatically migrating liquidity to its own WarpDex once the market cap hits approximately $69,000.
Social Bot Faction lowers the barrier to issuing tokens to the minimum, with Archemist allowing creators to issue tokens just by shouting on X. The platform token ARCH has seen a cumulative trading volume of approximately $337,000 and about 49 tokens launched.
