Arc Mainnet Launches with Big Names and Chainlink Integration
The Arc mainnet has officially launched, marking a significant milestone for the open Layer 1 blockchain designed for financial markets and agentic activity. The launch comes with over 100 applications already live on the network, along with more than 100 institutions and ecosystem builders.
Notably, the founding validator list includes prominent names such as BlackRock, DTCC, Galaxy, ICE, Mastercard, SBI Group, Standard Chartered, and Visa. This lineup underscores the broad support for Arc from established players in the financial sector.
Arc uses USDC as its gas token and boasts sub-second finality, allowing stablecoin-based transactions to be directly integrated into the network's core infrastructure. The platform has also completed the genesis mint of 10 billion ARC tokens, although Circle emphasizes that this does not commit it to launching a public token.
Chainlink services are already live on Arc, providing institutional-grade oracle infrastructure through Chainlink Scale. This integration enables cost-efficient access to key infrastructure for the ecosystem, rather than waiting for its addition later in development.
In another significant move, Robinhood announced that it will soon support Arc, enabling users to deposit and withdraw USDC directly on the network where supported.
