Arc Network Gains Two New Direct On-Ramps for USDC
The Arc Network has gained two new direct on-ramps for USDC (USD Coin) thanks to integrations from SwissBorg and Gate. The crypto wealth platform SwissBorg announced that users can now move USDC straight into Arc without going through a separate bridging service, eliminating fees that had climbed as high as 25% on a single transfer. Gate, the centralized exchange, also confirmed its integration with Arc Network for both deposits and withdrawals of USDC.
Before SwissBorg's update, moving USDC onto Arc typically required an external bridge. One such service, PlaygroundBridge, had charged fees reaching 25% on some transfers. For a user moving $10,000, that would mean losing $2,500 before funds even arrived. The same reports did not specify what SwissBorg's new direct deposit route costs, but the framing centered on eliminating the bridging expense entirely.
The integrations simplify how users move stablecoins onto specific networks, reducing both cost and technical risk. They also reduce exposure to operational risks associated with bridge contracts, which have been frequent targets for exploits across the broader industry. Gate's integration expands the number of supported transfer paths for USDC on its platform, while SwissBorg removes a step that previously added complexity for retail participants unfamiliar with cross-chain mechanics.
