Crypto lender Arch Lending is expanding into loans backed by tokenized equities as the market for on-chain stocks grows. The firm's co-founder and chief revenue officer Himanshu Sahay told Cointelegraph that Arch plans to enter this new market 'pretty soon'.

Sahay pointed out that while tokenized equities have grown rapidly over the past year, lending against these assets remains limited. He predicted that more lenders will eventually participate in the market to provide credit against tokenized stocks.

Arch has already ventured beyond cryptocurrencies into tokenized real-world assets, offering loans backed by Paxos Gold and Tether Gold. However, cryptocurrencies still dominate the lender's existing loan book, with Bitcoin (BTC) accounting for over 80% of its portfolio.
