Arc's Interconnected Asset Platform Threatens Traditional Financial Infrastructure
KuCoin is drawing attention to Arc's growing capabilities in tokenizing and connecting various assets. The company warns that what should worry industry giants isn't just the addition of new assets, but rather how they interact within a single system.
Arc has been adding assets such as USDC, EURC, cirBTC, gold, Treasuries, AAA CLOs, and corporate credit to its platform. While tokenizing these assets is one thing, connecting them in a way that enables seamless lending, borrowing, trading, and liquidity is something entirely different.
Bitcoin can be used as collateral for USDC, which can then be lent, traded, or flow into other products. Tokenized gold, Treasuries, and institutional credit are also being integrated. This creates a holistic infrastructure that allows applications to integrate lending and borrowing directly.
The concern is not each asset on its own, but rather the combination of these pieces interacting at scale. If Arc succeeds in creating an interconnected system, businesses that control multiple layers of infrastructure may find their advantage diminished. Arc's platform compresses various intermediaries, systems, and layers into a single entity, potentially disrupting traditional financial models.
