Argentina has become the 77th jurisdiction to join the OECD's Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), which enables automatic sharing of crypto transaction data across borders.

The country is set to bring its crypto market under a global tax-reporting system by 2029, following a reversal of its strict 2022 ban on digital assets.

By joining CARF, Argentina will be able to automatically share crypto transaction data with tax authorities in other participating countries, helping them identify activity that takes place outside a user's home country.
