Argentina's INCUCAI Goes Live on IOTA Mainnet With Tamper-Proof Digital Identity Infrastructure

Argentina's national transplant authority, INCUCAI, has implemented a decentralized digital-identity and document-verification system on the IOTA mainnet. The infrastructure, developed in collaboration with Latin American identity specialist Extrimian, enables accredited officials to electronically sign documents and notarize immutable, timestamped fingerprints without holding tokens or paying transaction fees.

The system uses cryptographic hashes of documents and process steps, rather than exposing patient records on the public blockchain. This approach ensures that doctors, agencies, and families can confirm a record's existence and integrity while keeping its contents private.

The architecture combines IOTA Identity, Hierarchies, Notarization, and Gas Station components, allowing INCUCAI to grant, suspend, or restore provincial accreditation. Decentralized identifiers follow W3C standards, and the national authority's onchain identity is cryptographically linked to its official government domain.

The rollout starts with heart and lung waiting-list registration before expanding across additional lists and SINTRA workflows nationwide in Argentina.
