ARK Invest Puts $1.3 Billion Venture Fund on Ethereum Blockchain
Cathie Wood's ARK Invest is expanding its reach into the blockchain world, launching a tokenized version of its $1.3 billion ARK Venture Fund on Ethereum through Securitize.
The fund, which has seen its net asset value (NAV) triple since its launch in 2022 from around $20 to $60.50 as of September 23, 2026, will allow eligible investors to access a blockchain-based representation of their interests.
This move doesn't mean that the underlying companies such as OpenAI and Anthropic are going onchain; instead, it's an onchain representation of the fund's ownership infrastructure. ARKVX is not an ETF but a closed-end interval fund with a target mix of 80% private and 20% public holdings.
ARK Invest founder Cathie Wood sees this as a natural extension of her mission to democratize access to technologically enabled disruptive innovation, saying 'tokenization has the potential to reshape fundamentally the way that investors access and participate in both private and public financial markets.'
