Ark Invest Resumes Buying Crypto Stocks After Week-Long Pause
Cathie Wood's Ark Invest has resumed buying crypto-linked stocks after a week-long pause. The firm added shares of Circle, Coinbase, and Bullish across three exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on Friday.
According to trade disclosures, ARKK led the purchases, adding about 57,600 Circle shares, 50,000 Coinbase shares, and 42,100 Bullish shares. The fund also added approximately 12,300 shares of Robinhood, a brokerage that derives part of its revenue from crypto trading.
The latest purchases came roughly a week after Ark last added crypto-related stocks, when the firm bought Coinbase across two of its ETFs last week. This buying marked a reversal from Ark's recent activity in crypto-related stocks, as the firm was a net seller on June 15 and did not record any crypto-related purchases.
Ark also rebalanced its portfolio during this time, adding names such as Recursion Pharmaceuticals, Palantir, and SpaceX while exiting positions including Alibaba and Roku.
