ARK Invest Tokenizes Venture Fund on Ethereum

ARK Invest has tokenized its ARK Venture Fund through Securitize and made it available on Ethereum. The fund, identified by the ticker ARKVX, invests in private and public companies focused on disruptive innovation.

The tokenization records investors' interests in the fund through blockchain infrastructure but does not place direct shares of portfolio companies on a blockchain.

ARKVX remains an actively managed, closed-end interval fund rather than an exchange-traded fund. Its shares are not listed on a securities exchange and are not expected to have a secondary trading market.

Cathie Wood, founder, CEO and CIO of ARK Invest, said tokenizing the fund puts the firm's view of changing capital markets into practice.
