ARK Invest Unloads Over $61M in Crypto Holdings Amid Clarity Act Setback
Cathie Wood's ARK Invest has reduced its crypto-related exposure by over $61 million, selling shares in several prominent companies. The sales occurred on Monday, September 14th, just before the Senate failed to pass the Clarity Act.
The firm sold a total of 36,628 shares of Coinbase, worth approximately $7 million at the closing price of $191.45 per share. Additionally, ARK Invest shed 18,280 shares of Bullish, valued at around $687,693 based on the stock's closing price of $37.62.
The company also reduced its stake in Circle, selling a total of 142,350 shares across both the ARK Innovation ETF and the ARK Next Generation Internet ETF. This sale was worth approximately $13.86 million at Circle's closing price on Monday.
The largest sale was ARK Invest's disposal of almost 1.53 million shares of the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF, valued at over $40 million based on the stock's closing price of $26.19 on Monday.
