ARK Migrates $1.3B Fund to Ethereum, Paving Way for Tokenization
ARK Invest is migrating its $1.3 billion ARK Venture Fund to Ethereum, leveraging Securitize Corp. for the transition. The fund invests in public and private names, including Anthropic, Kalshi Inc., SpaceX, and Stripe Inc. Tom Staudt, president and chief operating officer at ARK Invest, calls this move a milestone that's been years in the making.
Staudt notes that interval funds like ARKVX are simpler to set up than ETFs but lack global accessibility. The goal is to tokenize many of ARK's funds, with the timing reflecting improving conditions for tokenization due to clearer rules and better digital wallets.
The move adds ARK to a growing list of large financial firms experimenting with putting traditional assets on blockchains. Tokenized real-world assets have surged by over 400% from the beginning of 2025 to about $39 billion, according to RWA.xyz.
