Armada Acquisition Corp II Shareholders Vote on Evernorth Merger
Armada Acquisition Corp II shareholders are voting on a proposed merger with Evernorth, which will hold and manage more than 470 million XRP. If approved, the new company will trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN. The combined entity has raised over $1 billion from investors including Ripple, SBI, Antara, and Kraken.
Evernorth plans to actively manage its XRP treasury by lending, providing liquidity, and using the holdings in other parts of the digital asset market. This approach is different from a conventional XRP ETF, which holds the underlying XRP with a custodian to back the fund's shares.
The company has highlighted XRP per share as a measure of its performance, aiming to increase the amount of XRP attributable to each share over time. However, this strategy also introduces additional risks, such as counterparty and technology-related risks associated with lending and liquidity activities.
