Armstrong Pushes Back Against WSJ Story Blaming Him for CLARITY Act Failure
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has pushed back against an upcoming Wall Street Journal story that he claims will blame him and his company for the failure of the CLARITY Act to advance in the U.S. Senate.
Armstrong says the WSJ is preparing a story that will unfairly target him, but he defends Coinbase's decision to initially oppose the bill due to concerns over tokenization, DeFi, CFTC authority, and stablecoin rewards.
The CLARITY Act was revised after lawmakers addressed these key issues, and Armstrong argues that all four areas were eventually fixed in the final version of the legislation.
