Armstrong Sticks to $400K Bitcoin Prediction Despite Recent Volatility

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong is sticking by his prediction that Bitcoin could reach $400,000 by 2030. He made this call in 2025 and has maintained it despite recent price swings.

Armstrong believes that the integration of cryptocurrency into the conventional financial system will drive prices higher. He points to the growth of institutional investment, citing the launch of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs in January 2024 as a key factor.

He also notes the fixed supply of Bitcoin, which he says will lead to an imbalance between demand and supply, driving prices up.

The scale of Armstrong's forecast is significant, with $400,000 per Bitcoin giving the asset a market value of around $8 trillion. This would put Bitcoin among the world's largest pools of financial wealth, but also highlights the substantial increase in capital required for this to materialize.
