Asian Users Flock to CEXs for Cross-Asset Trading

Share

The latest industry report from MEXC Ventures and Blockworks Research reveals that cross-asset trading is on the rise in Asia, particularly among crypto-native respondents. According to the report, a staggering 87.2% of Asian users plan to increase their traditional financial (TradFi) trading through centralized exchanges (CEXs).

In the second quarter of 2026, average daily stock futures trading volume on MEXC in Asia surged by a whopping 3,308%, while 62.6% of crypto-native respondents in Asia primarily trade precious metals through CEXs.

The report attributes this growth to several factors, including the established digital finance ecosystem in Asia and the ease of expanding from crypto into traditional assets. Stablecoins have played a significant role in enabling users to trade both crypto and traditional assets through a single account.
