Astar Clarifies Token Supply Cap at 10 Billion

Astar (ASTR) is a Polkadot parachain for smart contracts that has its own token page capping supply at about 10 billion tokens, not the previously reported 10.5 billion.

The error in the higher figure originated from an earlier governance proposal that named 10.5 billion ASTR as the previous target and was later replaced with a new one of around 10 billion.

Astar's supply cap is now set at approximately 10 billion tokens, which is lower than the original estimate due to burn events that permanently destroy tokens, further reducing the effective maximum supply.
