Atum Unveils Open Payments Network for Stablecoins and Blockchain Settlement
Atum has emerged as an open payments network designed to simplify global money movement across stablecoins, blockchains, and traditional financial systems.
The company raised $13.5 million from investors including Variant and PayPal Ventures in September 2026, rather than building its own blockchain or issuing a proprietary stablecoin.
Atum provides infrastructure that connects developers, fintech companies, digital wallets, payment providers, and enterprises with different settlement options, giving applications more flexibility when moving money across digital and conventional financial systems.
This approach is intended to reduce the technical burden for businesses that want to support multiple payment methods without creating separate integrations for every blockchain or settlement provider.
