Aurora Intents Simplifies Cross-Chain Transfers for Solflare Users
Aurora Intents has enabled users to move funds from other major chains into Solflare wallets on the Solana blockchain, simplifying a previously complex process. The new feature, called Bridge, allows users to send assets directly to a permanent deposit address, eliminating the need for bridges or third-party applications.
The innovation is built on top of NEAR Intents, the solver network developed by NEAR Protocol, which has settled more than $23+ billion in volume since launch. Solflare's co-founder and co-CEO, Vidor Gencel, said that bridging previously carried too much anxiety due to multiple steps and potential errors.
Aurora Intents removes these hurdles by assigning a permanent deposit address for each supported chain and token. Users can then send assets from any wallet to this address, which will be converted into the desired Solana token in under a minute from Ethereum-compatible networks or around 14 minutes from Bitcoin.
Currently, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Tron, NEAR, and Base are supported source chains, with additional networks planned. The feature carries a 0.1% fee for stablecoin-to-stablecoin transfers and 1% for all other assets, calculated on the token received.
