Avalanche CEO Warns AI Agents are Overwhelming Blockchain Capacity
Avalanche Treasury CEO Bart Smith has warned that the rapid growth of AI agents executing continuous on-chain transactions will strain blockchain capacity, particularly on shared networks like Ethereum and Solana.
This is because these AI agents are constantly sending data to the blockchain, leading to congestion and slowing down transaction speeds.
Avalanche's subnet architecture offers a competitive advantage by allowing isolated, purpose-built Layer 1 blockchains that prevent congestion across different applications.
The company currently supports around 80 such subnets with plans to expand to 200, targeting enterprise clients who prefer isolated infrastructure for better performance and control.
