Avalanche Gains Institutional Boost as Janus Henderson Becomes Validator
Janus Henderson, one of the world's largest asset managers, has become a validator on the Avalanche network. This move not only expands its presence in tokenized financial products but also enables it to participate in securing the chain.
The firm manages $373 billion in assets and has already launched two tokenized products through the Centrifuge platform: the Janus Henderson Anemoy AAA CLO Fund (JAAA) and the Janus Henderson Anemoy Treasury Fund (JTRSY). Both funds are deployed on Avalanche and other blockchains, including Ethereum.
JAAA has grown to roughly $690 million in assets under management across eight different blockchains. Its portfolio consists of 36 AAA-rated collateralized loan obligations with zero defaults and no principal losses.
Grove, a partner in the initiative, aims to deploy up to $250 million into Janus Henderson's tokenized products on Avalanche by mid-2025. This would effectively double Avalanche's real-world asset footprint if achieved.
