Avalanche Helicon Update Brings Major Changes in September
Avalanche (AVAX) is gearing up for its highly anticipated Helicon update, which will introduce significant changes to the network's structure and staking economy.
The update, scheduled to go live on September 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM Turkish time, includes six key features from the Avalanche Community Proposals (ACPs).
These features include a perpetual execution system for C-Chain, automatic staking renewal, dynamic minimum gas fees, and reduced minimum staking duration.
Mainnet validators will need to upgrade to AvalancheGo v1.15.0 before the hard fork to ensure uninterrupted functionality on the network after Helicon is enabled.
