Avalanche Hosts 35M Kenya Academic Records on Blockchain

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has launched an e-certification platform on Avalanche, putting academic records on blockchain infrastructure. This move aims to eradicate fake documents and provide a quicker means of verification for employers, universities, and other institutions.

Over 30 million Kenya's academic records are being relocated to Avalanche via KNEC. Employers and universities can instantly verify these records without the risk of tampering. The deployment adds to Avalanche's government-sponsored blockchain infrastructure.

The platform involves a local technology provider to convert certificates from examinations into non-repudiable digital credentials signed onto Avalanche's C-Chain. This process will reduce fraud risks by making it impossible to tamper with once-issued certificates.
