Avalanche Secures 30M Kenyan Academic Records in Blockchain-Based Verification System

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has partnered with Avalanche to launch a blockchain-based verification system. The platform anchors academic records on Avalanche's public blockchain, making it harder for certificates to be forged.

With over 30 million academic records now on-chain, the new system aims to reduce fraud by allowing employers and universities to verify credentials directly rather than relying on paper documents.

The initiative is one of the largest government-backed blockchain deployments for academic credential verification so far. For students, this means that diplomas can be checked in seconds, rather than through a KNEC office process that has historically taken days.
