Avalanche Sees Surge in RWA Market Capitalization, Price Hits $11.11
Avalanche, a blockchain platform, has seen a significant surge in new Real World Assets (RWAs) in the past 30 days, with a total of $266 million added to its RWA market capitalization. This growth is more than that of BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain, and X Layer combined. The price of Avalanche has also increased, standing at $11.11 on October 3, with a 4.9% rise in 24 hours.
According to data from Cryptobriefing, the increase in RWAs on Avalanche can be attributed to a single issuer, Securitize, which has added $628% to its assets on the platform. This has contributed significantly to the growth of Avalanche's RWA market capitalization. The SECZ token, which is the tokenized stake in Securitize itself, has added $132 million in market capitalization in a single week, making it the largest contributor to the growth.
While the growth of Avalanche's RWA market capitalization is significant, it is worth noting that the concentration of growth is largely driven by a single issuer. This may indicate that the growth is not as widespread as it seems, and that it may be more susceptible to volatility.
