Avalanche Token Price Surges Past $7 Amid Surge in Tokenized Assets
Avalanche's token price has broken above $7 after months of struggling to clear this level.
The surge comes as more traditional financial assets are being brought onto the Avalanche network, with a recent report from Delphi Digital showing their combined value exceeding $3 billion. This is up significantly from $740 million last October.
The growth in tokenized assets on Avalanche can be attributed to several platforms that have moved their operations to the network. Progmat, Japan's largest security-token platform, brought about $1.2 billion in tokenized securities when it switched to a dedicated Avalanche network in June. Other notable additions include OpenTrade and Grove Finance.
The report from Delphi Digital was produced through a paid engagement with Avalanche, but the consulting firm emphasizes that its payment was not tied to the findings. The growth of financial assets on Avalanche is seen as an important development in bringing traditional finance onto blockchains.
