Avalanche Tokens Soar on Bitwise ETF Launch

The Avalanche token has surged by 55% in just one week due to growing interest in the Bitwise Avalanche ETF, which represents the first regulated investment vehicle offering direct exposure to AVAX tokens.

The ETF, trading under the ticker BAVA on NYSE Arca, has attracted modest inflows of around $231K in a single recorded period and seen peaks as high as $5 million. The assets under management for BAVA have been in the range of $18 million to $22 million since its launch.

What sets BAVA apart from other crypto ETFs is that it staking model, where approximately 70% of its holdings are actively staked to generate yield. This design targets average staking rewards of about 5.4%, with a sponsor fee of 0.34%. The fee will be waived for the first month on the initial $500 million in assets.

Avalanche's customizable architecture has attracted partnerships with major organizations including Visa and FIFA, both of which have explored Avalanche for tokenized assets and payment infrastructure. This development could set a template for future crypto ETFs if the staking model proves successful and AUM grows.
