Avici Hit with $500K Exploit, Promises Full Refunds
A recent exploit on Solana-based neobank Avici has resulted in the loss of $500,859.22 from 1,685 affected user card balances.
The breach occurred on August 28 and was attributed to a flawed version of a Solana card contract used by Avici and a small number of other programs.
A spokesperson for Avici stated that all affected card balances will be refunded in full, with refunds already being processed.
The attacker reportedly called several functions on Avici's authorization program to pull funds out, ultimately holding around $1.07 million worth of SOL and over $11,600 in stablecoins.
