Axie Infinity Launches S19 with 80K bAXS Prize Pool and New Competitive Integrity Measures

Axie Infinity has launched Origins Season 19, which brings significant changes to its competitive play. This season features an 80,000 bAXS prize pool, with 20,000 bAXS reserved for the Rare Era alone.

The introduction of bAXS as the main reward currency is a key aspect of S19. Unlike AXS, which can be transferred and has external economic value, bAXS is tied to the Axie ecosystem and cannot be moved outside it. This aims to incentivize long-term players over those who only participate briefly.

The season also includes new safeguards for competitive integrity, including checks to discourage multi-accounting and leaderboard manipulation. The team behind Axie Infinity emphasized their commitment to fair play and community engagement in a statement.
