Aztec Brings Back zk.money with Enhanced Privacy Features
Aztec Labs has relaunched zk.money, a privacy-focused wallet that allows users to send and receive stablecoins without broadcasting their transactions on the Ethereum network.
The original version of zk.money was shut down three years ago, but Aztec is bringing it back as part of its own layer-2 network, Aztec Network, which offers a more private alternative to traditional Ethereum transactions.
According to Aztec Labs CEO Joe Andrews, 'onchain transactions between two individuals shouldn't mean publishing your financial history to the world.'
The new version of zk.money allows users to send USDC, USDT, and DAI from an exchange or Ethereum wallet, but deposits from Ethereum remain public. Private payments made inside the wallet are capped at $2,500 each, with a daily deposit ceiling of $50,000.
