Aztec Labs Revives Anonymity-Focused Wallet zk.money
Aztec Labs has revived its non-custodial privacy wallet, zk.money, after shutting it down three years ago. The initial version of zk.money debuted in 2021 but ceased operations in 2023 due to scalability constraints that prevented worldwide adoption.
The relaunched service operates on Aztec Network, a privacy-centric Ethereum Layer 2 solution developed by the company. Transactions are concealed from public view, keeping account balances and receiving parties anonymous.
Users can transfer and accept digital assets while maintaining their anonymity within the zk.money ecosystem. The platform accepts deposits in three stablecoins: DAI, USDC, and USDT from Ethereum mainnet, with both USDC and USDT automatically converting to DAI upon entry.
