Aztec Labs has relaunched zk.money, a self-custodial privacy wallet designed for private crypto payments.

The new wallet operates on Aztec Network, a decentralized Ethereum Layer 2 that supports applications using zero-knowledge technology.

According to Joe Andrews, CEO of Aztec Labs, the original version of zk.money was shut down in 2023 due to infrastructure limitations, not a lack of demand for private payments.

The new wallet introduces readable handles that allow users to send and receive payments without sharing traditional wallet addresses, making it easier for everyday users to use.
