Baby Doge Acquires LimeWire, Plans AI-Powered Content Sharing
The peer-to-peer file-sharing brand LimeWire has changed hands to Baby Doge and Abel Czupor. The purchase price was not disclosed in the announcement.
LimeWire's leadership is shifting, with brothers Julian and Paul Zehetmayr stepping down as part of the deal. They had rebuilt the platform starting in 2022 after buying it that year.
The new LimeWire plans to focus on AI tools for content creators, allowing them to share their work directly with fans. Abel Czupor said this will give creators an alternative to platforms run by large tech companies.
